Price is not bad at all but I'd just be a little worried about that block stamp. If you don't get hassled by cops then go for it

Well if the motors not smoking and nothings wrong it looks to be a sweet deal. I think he said it was making low power because he had a stock exhaust.

the guy said something about it when it idles it would seem like it was going to die.
he said its becuase of the skunk2 cams. some tuning would get rid of that and and also hell give me the original cams

Yeah the Pro 1s have a pretty bad idle. Someone that knows how to tune those cams should be able to fix it though. My friend has those cams and they idle all over the place.

I have the Skunk2 Stage 2s and they idle pretty good

that block number has definitely been grinded down before. they probably stole it, grinded it down, and restamped it. sounds like the seller is pretty shady to me, but it's your cash. if a cop pops your hood, you probably won't be harassed, but the chp will definitely f**k with you about that.

i personally would stay away from any engine thats been "modded". stay with a 100% complete stock motor for better turnover results. some people that sell " modded" engines sell them because they messed it up. but you never know. just be carfull.

because their officers go through extensive training on mods, swaps, as well as what to look for with regard to stolen goods. the chp knows their ****.

If you ever plan to CARB your car with that motor, be prepared to show documentation to the referee. They will look for VIN # and block stamping. If you fail, you won't be able to smog you car legally.
