Default no more A-pipe rattle!!

I finally got my A-pipe/downpipe fixed this past weekend. I took it to a muffler shop that my friend recommended to me and told them about my problem. Although they tried messing around w/ heat shields and stuff even though I told them that was not the problem, they finally decided to mess w/ the downpipe. They blasted a 1/2" dia. hole into the side of both intermediate pipes (before the collector at the flange before the cat), stuck the welder in there and I guess it welded the inner pipe to the outer pipe, so it is finally quiet! And they only charged me $20.

Had the same problem on both my tegs.
LS-heat sheild
GSR- Allitle more difficult to find out. but it was A/B pipe, and it went away when I got my DC headers.
If you need to distinguish between the two:
Heatshield- Rattles at idle, any rpm
A/B Pipe- Rattles only at 3000-3500 Rpm.
Honda said this was a common problem with the Tegs, they have replacement packages ready. Might as well go with a new aftermarket header though right?

Just to clear a couple things up, the heat shields can rattle at certain RPMs only as well. And it is the A-pipe that has the problem. A header or the above fix will solve the problem.

TGunner - You sure the header bracket is bolted on properly/at all? Your problem is something different, sounds like a loose bolt.

Well aftermarket headers are not double wall as far I know, like the GS-R manifold/downpipe is. I can't afford a header right now, so a $20 repair to the stock parts fits the bill very nicely.

Sorry, thats what I meant. Any random RPM, but if its between 3-3.5k, its most likely to be the B pipe. Thanks for clearing that up.
