anyone know of a website that i can get pictures of Stock 6th gen civic stock DX/CX and EX motors? i need to show my buddy pictures of the difference between the intake manifolds

 

why dont you just tell him that on dx the throttle body points up and on an ex the tb points towards the pass side?

Sorry to steal the post but this is exactly what i was looking for to see that something was missing.

i have a 2000 EX and im not a noob. I noticed that there were holes but nothing there.

#1 It just looks like a hose holder but what is this and why dont i have it

#2 No idea but every Z6/Y8 has that hole I think. So its not a huge concern.

 

#1. Cx/Dx throttle cable was held into place there.

#2. A ground wire runs from there to the frame by the headlight (I'm sure). If you have power steering, then a the ground is on the p.s. bracket instead (I believe).

 

Both of those pics are D16Y7s the second one is a Y7 with a Y8 intake manifold.

That's why it has the Y7 throttle bracket, the Y7 exhaust manifold, and the long *** Y7 throttle cable (tucked behind the oil cap).
