I have a cx and that seems to be close to what mine runs at. Possibility it might be a cx?
Edit: Check out this link, you can choose different trannys in the pull down list below either one of the graphs. You can compare ratios and such...

Well for what its worth, on my my way to work today, I took note of my RPM at 70, and it was 3000 rpms exactly. I have a stock '95 EX transmission.
My speedo could be off though.

check the link.
transmission calculator
you can put the EX in one and the DX in the other and compare. check the graph for RPM at MPH. don't neglect to get the right tire size in there.
EDIT: the calc shows 70mph with DX wheels and tires that the DX trans is at 3150 RPM and the EX is at 3299.
I've driven by enough of the "your speed is" signs that local PD sets up to know that my speedometer reads 4MPH higher than actual speed. original wheels and tire size. just FYI.

my bad. that was the main page. the trans calc was one of the tabs at the top. link fixed.
here's a how-to from Bense for identifying without cracking the case.

I understand that you were looking for info on the DX and EX trims, but just as a FYI, my HX turns about 2800 @ 70 in 5th on stock size tires and wheels.
