b20 is more torquey but u can't rev as high...i hear their bottom ends suck, but im sure u can fix that with aftermarket product...personally id go b18, still torquey but u can rev em too

B20 have thinner sleeves, its pretty much just a bored out LS block LS is 81mm abd the B20 is 84mm you will have more tourqe and you can build a decent B20/vtec with it but you will need to have some good tuning to keep it alive...the Ls will be a little safer to use, and the Ls or b20 vtecs are again no the most reliable because people don't build them properly so if you do your homework either one will be fine just spend the extra on tuning

i dont know if the b20 has thinner sleeves..they look about the same or thicker to me,,,its the unisleeve design that makes those engines weak....There was an article i read a while back that described how honda got that 2.0L

I always though it was just an LS bored to 84mm but I don't have any experience personally with a B20, Ls motors are to cheap and to common to go with anything else

My personal expeirence with a B20B/VTEC was great...and still is. 3-4 years (stock B20/VTEC) reving to 8000 rpm + all day long. Maybe I just got lucky...

Now its built and feels just as good!
