Did the pedal break--or the bracket that holds the pedal onto the assembly? A few years back--I was actually driving to Englishtown for an event and low and behold the bracket holding the clutch pedal broke!!! Long story short--I ordered a new assembly from http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com and installed it. Even new it wasn't too expensive (around $65) Crawl up under there. There are like 6-8 bolts holding it to the firewall--the only pita is unhooking the MC from the brake pedal--otherwise its pretty easy.

it is not that hard... I fix my lil bro's crx....just go to the junk yard & buy one then replace it... the only thing you need to take off is the brake, gas & clutch pedal then the bolts that hold up the steering wheel shaft so that it could drop down then the bolts that hold the bracket to the fire wall ...

If you're going to replace it, definitely go Si.

Yes they are better. I don't have the pics with me now but CRX Toad took some great pics to show them side by side. Hopfully he can chime in with those snap shots.

if you know someone that does good welding in tight spots do that. It happened to my car when I got a new clutch. the car had 217,000 miles on it. He welded the bracket and it wont break again even with an aftermarket clutch. One thing to watch out for is when he welds it make sure to cover up wires and anything important so they don't get fried.
