95-97 INTEGRAS: Emissions Warranty Extension and FREE Service Reminder
Hey guys, I got a letter from Acura this week letting me know that my 96 integra is "covered by an emissions warranty extension and [I am encouraged] to take advanage of the FREE one time 75,000-150,000 mile inspection and parts replacement offer..."
...
Quoted from the letter:
As part of this agreement, Acura is providing owners of certian 1995, 1996, and 1997 vehicles these benefits:
1. The Federal and California Emissions Warranties have been extended to 14 years from the date your vehicle was first sold, or 150,000 miles, whichever comes first.
2. When the vehicle has between 50,000 and 75,000 miles, an Acura dealer will inspect your vehicle's emissions control system free of charge. Any warrany repairs or replacements needed on your emissions control system will be done free of charge, including all parts and labor.
3. When the vehicle has between 75,000 and 150,000 miles, an Acura dealer will again inspect your vehicle's emissions control system and make any needed warranty reparis or replacements free of charge. In addition, the dealer will replace the spark plugs, ignition wires, destributor cap, and change the oil and oil filter; all free of charge to you.
... HAVE ANY QUESTIONS: call Acura Client Services at (800) 382-2238. I just called my local Acura dealer and they hooked me up with an appointment.

I got the letter and I sold the 96 teg 3years ago....
this letter is not for original owners only... you can go to the dealer ship and they can look it up in the system if your car qualifies....

as long as you own the car and it fits the parameters of the cars they're working on... then you're good to go. call up the local acura dealer and setup and appointment!

Im the 3rd owner of my car and I received that same letter. I was wondering about taking my car. The only thing gets me is: Are they going to "flash" my ecu to some emission saving (power robbing) setting? Will they void this service since my car has a header (comptech; which acura sells)?
ooops, double thread... my bad. i went in today and got the service done... it was pretty much a tune up minus the valve adjustments. the whole time, i was nervous about my car though. ugh...
