Hey guys, a couple pics from the auto-x. (Fontana, Ca 2/12/06)
Good times. I got 14 runs, my best at 38. First run was 45, so I improved which made me happy, considering I have a damn auto. (my car is the black accord sedan)
It was pro solo style, so two mirrored courses, with actual drag style light trees telling you when to launch (or lack of for me!) We would do right course, then left, right, then left and so on. One course was faster than the other, because one course was much flatter. About 1.5 seconds faster. I ran STS, which is street touring, because my car has springs and bigger wheels and tires. (only 16s)
I also learned a lot about tire pressures. For my FF, I found that 44 in front and almost 50 (crazy!) worked out the best. I found this learning curve was intense, and takes a lot of pratice to get right. Of course, tire pressure gets higher as the tires get hot. My tires went up about 5 degrees.
The white vette was driven by a 45 year old mom, who was one of the best drivers there. Also, she had a insane tire collection!
Sorry for the lack of pics, please include yours if you have any. My camera ran out of powrah, and I was too busy between working the cones and driving!

The lotus up there was the fastest stock car. (in any stock class)
Fastest car of the day was a non-street legal s2k ap2 running 29 sec lap. 285s all around!

That accord did really well!
It was funny, all the accords there (there were 4) were 4 banger autos. We were the family haulers. haha.

I'm so jealous that you guys can autox in febuary, when we are still shoveling snow. Nice pics and I can't wait for the season to start, although I'm in SM with the 240

And I can probably name the owners of a few of them.
How many cars showed up?

Ken drove a silver 6th gen sedan, thats the only guy I met.
There were 4 accords, including mine, and a couple of other hondas. (one EF hatch, a EK, and a couple ep3 Si.)
Total, probably around 50 cars or so.

http://www.solo2.com for socal guys.
I paid 50. The thing is, the list is pretty short for non-members (people like us). So you have to check their site often, and as soon as a date is confirmed, send that check ASAP. Also helps if you have a group going, to send all the money @ once.
Also, they have free loaner helmets there too.
