ok i have a 99 cx with a d16y7 and have a z6 head with distributer and ive wrote into honda tuning in the december 05 issue and got most of my ?'s answered but i was wondering if i could put a y8 intake manifold & a ecu from a y8 and fit properly or does they have to be from z6?

You can use a Y8 intake manifold. Use the P28 (Z6 ECU) because the timing between the Z6 and Y8 are very different.

But remeber if you want to use the P28 you must convert your car to obd-1.

yea, i have access to a ecu out of a y8 and that would keep me from spending money on a jumper harness, but i will be looking around for a p28 and do it that away if i have to before i ever put everrything on and getting it running. i just went and priced a complete gasket kit from advance auto parts, also i think the other thing i need is z6 head bolts, then re-pin the distributer, and that should be it.
Thanks alot for the information, ya'll have been very helpful, also thanks to BauleyCivic for his extensive mini-me writeup; i'll keep ya'll posted onthe work i do
