Default exhaust ??

What's the best exhaust system for someone not doing alot of mods? I have been looking on eBay and was going to be ordering the header back....any pros and cons to help out a fellow Honda owner?

thankx

If you have the ex don't change out the header as it has been shown to be as effective as most aftermarket headers. I would say do a cat back 2.5" mandrel bent piping with a magnaflow muffler, nice and quiet and you'll notice a good increase in mid-range power/torque.

I wouldn't waste your money on a greddy or an apexi or whatever, I have seen great results from http://www.kteller.com and even through your local exhaust shop.

I was thinking the of doing the same thing and also looking on ebay. What about headers? I was looking a purchasing the OBX racing s.s. ones, are those any good or are they garbage? Thanks

Honestly...I would keep your stock manifold unless it's rusted out (holes) and just keep your heat shield in place and save your money. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

As for the exhaust a bigger exhaust would be beneficial for not only performance but also economy. I went with a 2.5" mandrel bent on my old accord and it helped a lot.

Just my 2 cents.

Yep keep the stock header unless it has holes rusted in it as they have been proving to be as good as aftermarket ones. I'd go with a cat-back and it's up to you if you want to replace the cat. If so I'd probably go with a Magnaflow high flow cat I don't know that there are many more out there to choose from. For exhaust it really depends on what you want if you want quiet Apexi WS I if you can find it I like how it looks better or II which you can also find. Neither has stainless steel piping though so expect it to rust in a few years if you live somewhere where they put salt and that crap on the road.

If you don't mind loud or want loud I'd look at having a Apexi N1 welded up to custom piping or get the Invidia cat-back. Thats what I have and like it a lot but it is loud. It is supposed to be basically the same as the Skunk2 only cheaper. I like exhausts coming out at an angle but this one does have a slight bit too much angle I think but it's really not bad. I give it a Another big benifit to the Invidia is the muffler and piping are all Stainless Steel so you don't have to worry about it rusting.

Heres a picture of it

If you go that route I highly reccomend raceinspired.com I think thats what it is. I ordered it from them and they have good prices and great customer support or seemed to I didn't have any real problems. They are also a sponser on here. I found out you can get it cheaper if you go through here.

Don't ever buy headers fron e-bay.....They look good but aren't.
Get a OEM part as it will give you the same performance. The manifold on my car was rusted and broked. I had to replace it. I was thinking the same as to buy one of theose headers from e-bay. I am sure, they will break after a year because of bad weld joints. That's my opinion as far as header issue is concerned.

I've heard that OBX and Megan Racing seem to make ok products. Not the same quality as say Apexi but that they make decent stuff at good prices. I wouldn't buy a no name brand on eBay but I wouldn't hesitate to buy something on there if it's from a well known brand the problem is that there are too many fakes on there.

If so I sat the camera outside the car right behind the muffler. It's from my digital camera so it isn't the best but sounds similar. I'm not sure that it sounds exactly like that on the road but I do think it sounds pretty good.
