pulleys and such
I've been considering raplacing the pulleys on my '91 accord lx with lighter weight ones, any ideas? I'm also gonna raplace my rotors with Brembo slotted ones, Anybody got any sources for lighter drums? Gotta cut the weight on them rotating parts.
Lighter rims would be the thing to do. Drums and rotors won't make a difference.
Here's a writeup on weight reduction for 4th gens:

If you plan to add power to your motor (which a lightwieght pulley would do) the brakes need to have enough stoping power to handle it. Drum brakes may work fine when the car is all stock, but if you want your brakes to perform, they should be discs all around. Disc brakes provide better stopping power and are less likely to fail under pressure then drum brakes.

i dont think pulleys are going to add enough power to require a brake upgrade. pulleys are probly only going to add about 2-3whp. lighter wheels are the way to go, less rotating mass and and they look good.
You're mixing apples and oranges with a few misconceptions.
Recovered power from pulleys is not accomplished because they're lighter, it's because either they're larger in diameter (accessory/under-driven), smaller in diameter (Crank Pulley) and turn the accessories slower (using less power)) or adjustable; as in the camshaft drive sprocket.
Brembo slotted Rotors are a good choice (I use them)
If you can find Aluminum/Steel Liner versions of the rear drums, go for it. Not for the weight reduction but for the better heat dissipation.

I R Taylor, reducing weight on any rotating part, unless its like a tiny part is going to help, reducing weight in rotating parts is one of the most important things in weight reduction. When something with weight spins it transfers that weight in every direction, creating more drag on itself and whatever its rotating on or with. And yes I'm going to replace my stock steel rims with aluminum 15's when I have the 8 grand to spend, wanna keep the wheels honda. And in regards to stopping power, I'm not gonna turn this car into a race car, its my every day driver, so i figure upgrading my front brakes like I planned would be enough, and i'm gonna change the brake setup over to acura parts so I can have demountable rotors, for easy changing, might also go with a larger diameter rotor along the way, but i'll have to replace my caliper to do that so it might not be worth it, probably just gonna stick with the slotted rotors.

That thread mentions replacing you battery with a lightweight one, and other things, like my carpet for example? So why would you tell me that rotors and drum weight dosn't matter but then refer me to some thread that is saying that taking out my carpet and important things like my gas, and even my spare tire(kinda seems ignorant to take out your spare tire to me).

AEM pulley's are a good choice. I use them and they work out great. If you're looking for more weight reduction. Carbon fiber hood and trunks are a good idea. They are not the rotating parts that you are talking about but that can be decent amount of weight reduction.

I was trying to help, don't be a dick.
reducing the ammount of rotational mass that the crank has to move is a good way to free up some power and response. i've been looking into the UR underdrive crank pulley for some time now. Cheaper than the AEM kit and it reduces weight where it matters the most, the crank. also it only requires removal of one pulley not three.
