I'm wondering, if the difference would be noticeable when comparing tube-style collectors with box-like collectors like the one below:

besides it being ugly, for do-it-yourselfers.. it's really easy.

Defintley a large difference if the header behind it is designed correctly

Yeah basically I would like to know how to make one.

I've asked one manifold builder and he got all butt raped about ppl stealing designs from him...

I thought I was asking a general question? Oh well nevermind him.

So basically in this picture the tubing was actually a bend basically with a bunch half cuts?

In that pic I'm not see this bend you guy's are talking about, that collector is cut from straight sch.40 pipe.

Yah, there is at LEAST one post i remember with someone doing a walkthrough on DIY collectors. He made a simple jig to cut the straight pieces 2x at the desired location/angle. do that 8x (2x per piece) and then fit up and weld. If the measurements/cuts were accurate, it'll line up nicely.

Good luck finding any answers. People like to keep these things secret.

Just make some kind of jig all you have to do is take 4 equal length pieces of pipe and cut them on 2 sides 90 degrees apart from each other at the same angle

There are no bends, its just two cuts on a straight piece of pipe. The angle and spacing I do not know.

Did you read the link I posted

Pretty sure Casey is not going to take pictures of the jigs they use, or how they do things.

I read your link.

That's okay because it isn't a good idea for him to show me, I'll find out sooner or later.
