What car are we talkin about here? Civic coupe or accord coupe? Hoping your talkin Civic. Civic=lighter. 270 hp and God knows how much torque + Civic=fast. It can be done. I don't know how, but it can be done. Would definitely need stage 2 axles.

considering the fact that this is a very expensive swap, will it just drop right in? that's what i really need to know, thanks h-t members!
Are you really asking if you can drop a 3 liter Acura TL V6 into a Civic that comes with a 1.6 liter 4 cyl?
Youd have to totally redo the transmission tunnel, cut out half the engine bay, get custom mounts and axles made....christ. It wouldnt be anywhere near stable, I'd love to see that in an accident...probably sheer the front of the car off and send the block into your firewall.
It would be easier to just drop a K24 in. Just do that.

Insane problems with steering, i'd guarantee it.

Why not make it a mid-engine rwd? That seems like it would solve any problems with steering as long as you have got the suspension setup to handle the scale tipping rear end. That's just my logic. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Because that would cost so much money it wouldnt be worth it, it would be cheaper to buy a better RWD car int he first place.

You can't really say that it wouldn't be worth it. That is your opinion. I do agree, however, that it will cost alot of money. But, so would swapping a tl motor into a civics engine bay. The whole rwd idea is just a suggestion or a theory. I just figured that it would be a bit more unique.

A K series is proven, inexpensive, with mount kits available.
With a mid engine RWD car or the TL swap you:
1: Lose structural integrity
2: Lose stability (from front weight bias)
3: Lose reliability (axles and tranny come to mind)
4: Lose insurance coverage (just try registering THAT thing)
5: Lose braking ability (youd need much bigger rotors and pads to stop that thing)
Why do all that if you could just get a stock midengine RWD car?
It's definitely not worth it, that's not an opinion. As soon as you got in an accident, youd die. As soon as you got inspected, you'd have the car towed.
You'd need to change the entire speedometer, ECU wiring, tranny mounting, front subframe, even relocate some firewall. Just like a Honda in an accident, a Honda with its front subframe sliced up will never drive the same.
The cost of the car and engine alone, without trying to put them together, would cost the same of a comparable used vehicle (rwd, midengine OR fwd V6)
