Suspension is fucked up!!!!!
I hit a 6" pot hole this evening and when i got home i popped my hood and noticed that the shock(Kyb AGX with ground control coilovers) was pressed completely out of the rubber grommit. This is in a 94 civic Hatch. I have no idea what to do. I looked up the diagram for the front shock on hondaautomotiveparts.com and it looks like the rubber grommit(#7 in the diagram) is in two pieces. I dont understsand how the shock would be supported if it was supposed to be two pieces. The only thing i can think of is that when the shocks were installed one of the round plates(#9) most likely the one on the dust cover was not put back on. But that doesnt make sense looking at the diagram. heres a link to the pic:

If any one has any idea what i need to do to fix this that would be great.

The lower washer probably got pushed past the oversized part of the shaft. Hopefully all you will have to replace is the washer, which probably got a little elongated, and you may have to dremel it off
Well, i have the same setup you have, but on a 1992 Integra...I hit a pothole and the same thing happen..It turn out one of washer busted broke apart due to the impact of the pothole so I took the sturt out and just replace the washer and everything is fine...
thanks i am going to the river this weekend and leaving my car in a friends garage. I will take it apart on monday and do the reapir. Thanks alot aas it looks now everything is ok. Guess i need a washer. Thanks a lot for the replies.
