new suspension bumpy harsh ride agx ground control
Im still fighting with my new suspension setup on my 94 civic hatch , i have agx struts the whole way around and ground control coilovers , when i am going down the highway the car bounces alot , makes my head bob all around and really feels like crap , its rather harsh on bumps and differences in where roads meet up and whatnot. Im sure lots of other peeps have this setup , did yuens have any similar problems , i tried all different settings on the struts as well , any input much appreciated.

sounds like either you are too low and your shocks/springs are too soft. Stiffen the shocks. and if you have standard ground controls, check your springs and make sure you have the stiffer ones in the front, if they are too soft they will just move too much and bottom out.

I have the same set up, on the 1 setting on my agx they ride smooth, for the dumper hatch, how low are you? If you are super duper dumped the shocks might not have enough travel thus giving you a harsher ride. Give yourself a little wheel well clearence and give the shock some room to move if thats the case.
-also how do you tell which springs are for front or back? I dont think i even looked i just threw that **** on

also... not to sound like an ***, but did you install them properly? I had a friend who had the same setup and when he first put his on they bounced like a deranged bobble head, and that was cause he didn't cut the bumpstops. So my advice is to retrace your steps and make sure you did em right.

look at the numbers on the spring, if you have stock gc's, they usually come with 350/250lbs or 64/44kg.mm, something like that. theres 3sets of numbers, 1 for spring lenght, one for spring inner diameter and one for spring rate. my friend put on his gc/agx on and was wondering why he kept on bottoming out aka "rather harsh on bumps and differences in where roads meet up" he had the boucing problems too, but we switched the springs and now he loves his setup

Re: (NINJASPY)
My srpings rates are as follows , front ones are 200.64.58 and the rears are 180.64.44 , and when i installed everything i used the washer that goes under the top had instead of the brass collar that came with the struts , would that affect anything >? Also i cut the bumpstops as the ground control showed , does anyone have an exploded pic or real pic of this setup put together off the car showing a detailed pic of it complete. the ride is terrible , and its lowered a tad under stock ride height and i have them damping set to 4 on front and back , the softer setting seemed worse.
