NGk iradium IX is the shiznit!!
I've Just recently switched my spark plugs from ngk-R to iradiums. It is awsome, my car feels like it has more power, it accelerates way better!! Not only that, my gas milage went up from 25 to 32.9 MPG. DDAyyam. If you feel like your car hasn't been performing as it should, check your sparkplugs, you never know, spending 25 bucks on plugs can give you more horses.
well, thats good that it made your car better, but you arent giving it more horses, you are just getting the motor back to where she should be...
my gsr prefers the laser platinums (ngk) over any others that ngk offers... I also get about 31 mpg avg (half city half hwy).
Edit - its a '97 and that was with a JRSC at stock boost (6psi)...currently I'm doing some engine/trans. work to boost it to 10

iridiums made no difference to me from my coppers to the IX's. This guy probably had messed plugs and now they are fine. They are all hype about HP, but may last longer because of the hardness.

In the tegs it doen't make a difference. But if you go to a 7thgen civic ('01+) it does because they use the direct ignition where the coil in right on top of the plug. This means the metal (not the ceramic) gets far hotter, in some cases melting copper, platnium and Iridium won't melt. There are quite a few people with d17 motors that have fouled their copper plugs in under a day. On 7thgen.com people have mentioned that you can buy iridium plugs cheap, just thoguht I would through it out there.
Personally I use copper in my GSR, I figure using cheap copper ones I can replace them far more often and not worry about putting expensive ones in.
