I bought a 96 LS 2 door and I believe it has maybe 99 rear leather seat.
the seat bottom doesn't seem to fit correctly, where the hook thing pushes into the body
the hole is in a different spot than the hook.
do I need 94-97 black leather seats then to fit correctly?

I don't think you need 94-97 rear seats. They should all fit, except if it's a 4 door. Where the hook is suppose to latch onto might have been damaged due to excessive pushing and pulling of the seats.

its not damage, the hook on the seat is in a totally different position from the hole its supposed to go into.
off by like 3 inches. I'm trying to get a picture of it

nope no tray in the middle on the 4 door seats

I thought the 99+ tegs had an additional support under the rear seats, which made the mount points different, something about side impact protection.

nah man, sometimes the seat hook does get damaged, but you're incorrect on this one, like stated by audi a4:

they are different, because the 94-96 (possibly 97) integras didn't have that three piece reinforcement plate (black and heavy) running along the front edge of the rear seat from one side fo the teg to the other.
This was added in 98 to meet a higher standard in crash test regulations or something
but anyway, when they added that extra reinforcement, they had to change the rear seat hook to fit the new piece.

you can just modify the seat hook to help it sit flush, it's basically just a cushion and doesn't effect the integrity of the rear seat if you have it screwed in on the rear mount....or just cut the hook off all together, I've done that a couple times.

the seating on the 94-96 is thicker... I had the same problem. I traded with someone who had a 96 rear seat. We compared when we swithched.
The 94-96 also comes out a little more than the 97-01.
If you cut the 97-01 seats, they'll just flap around when people sit on them.

I have never noticed the seats being much different as far as location of mount locations.. i've taken seats from a 95gsr and put them in my 00 with no problem.. but those 95's were in really great shape.. so they might have been newer also.. but they fit find in that dudes 95gsr
