Flaring factory OEM brake lines?
I'm in the process of relocating my proportioning valve and have everything done except for the rear lines. I wanted adapt 3AN Earl's line to the existing rear brake lines but I'm running into a problem flaring the lines. Everytime I try to flare it with the double flaring tool, it just pushes the line through the clamp. Is there a trick to this or am I screwed having to run all new rear lines. Thanks.
Flaring hard lines is a true pain in the ***. I'd rather replace the whole **** with SS braided. Good luck.
Take it to a shop that does a lot of old car restorations. They do those hard lines all the time.

I'm trying to do my lines myself and have had no luck with ths tool for making the double flare. It is a Titan 51535 3/16 in. Double Flaring Tool, after seeing the positive reviews and how easy the tool is to use. I followed instructions and made 4 flare attempts, all lobisded failures. Has anyone else tried this?
