Default Flaring factory brake lines?

I'm in the process of relocating my proportioning valve and have everything done except for the rear lines. I wanted adapt 3AN Earl's line to the existing rear brake lines but I'm running into a problem flaring the lines. Everytime I try to flare it with the double flaring tool, it just pushes the line through the clamp. Is there a trick to this or am I screwed having to run all new rear lines. Thanks.

You're doing something wrong or using a wrong/bad tool....they can be re-flared just fine.

No they can't trust me here. I've tried doing a regular flare to them also and the metal is too damn hard.

With what? Care to share here. I took the factory line to a hydraluic line shop here and they couldn't even do it with the regular double flare tool.

I used a regular flaring tool, nothing special or particular. Wasn't any harder than flaring lines that you can get from autozone.

How are you cutting the line, maybe that's the problem. Maybe you're getting the line out of round when cutting...

I used a tubing cutter to cut it, it's perfect. I couldn't even put a regular flare in it it is so tough. There's something up with it.

Bevel the line a bit on the edge before you flare it
