FS: 408 WHP RLZ built B16 turbo motor setup
I'll probably end up parting this out, but I figure I'll see if anyone wants the whole thing first. I'm selling this because I'm going N/A.
This is the same engine I've been running at 20+ PSI of boost for most of the past year. It has been pulled and rebuilt with new Wiseco 8.5:1 pistons and ACL Race bearings. The short block is currently sitting at RLZ waiting on them to assemble it. I just dropped it off there, so it may be a bit before it is ready, although all the machine work is done, only the assembly is left, so it may be ready pretty quickly.
I had the head checked out, had 4 exhaust valves replaced, and had it resurfaced. It's ready to go.
The manifold is a Lovefab SST A/C, custom made for my setup, with a full 3" downpipe that clears the A/C compressor. It's been coated with a thermal barrier coating, and doesn't radiate much heat.
The turbo is only a couple of months old, it's a GT3071R with both the .63 and .82 turbine housings.
Here's the specs on all the parts:
Short Block - this short block is freshly built by RLZ, zero miles, never installed or run since assembly
B16A2 block from a '99 Civic Si, Darton sleeved by RLZ, bored to 84.5mm
Eagle H-beam rods -w- ARP studs
Stock B16 crank
Wiseco 8.5:1 pistons -w- rings, the new ones with the coated skirts
ACL Race Bearings
ARP main bearing cap studs (block and caps were align honed for these studs by RLZ)
new Honda oil pump
Cylinder Head - just checked out, resurfaced, 4 exhaust valves replaced, this head is ready to install
B16A2 head from a '99 Civic Si
RLZ Stage 2 ported
Ferrea valves
Ferrea springs
Ferrea guides
stock retainers
Stock B16A2 cams
Skunk2 cam gears
all studs on the exhaust side
Turbo setup
Lovefab SST A/C-compatible stainless steel manifold
- T3 and T4 flange
- extra long full merge collector
- TIAL/Turbonetics type 38mm wastegate flange
- Caswell Coatings Black Satin thermal barrier coated, a bit scratched up from installing and working on the car, but still very effective at controlling heat dissipation
Turbonetics Evolution wastegate with an assortment of springs
Stainless steel 3" turbo-back downpipe with recirculated downstream dumptube and flex section, this clears the A/C compressor
Custom 2.25" stainless steel charge piping -w- reinforced silicone couplers
Custom made bar/plate intercooler, compact and efficient, we saw temps of just 11 degrees over ambient air temps at 20 PSI on the dyno. No need to hack up your bumper support for it either.
AEBS intake manifold
three layer turbine inlet gasket, no leaks from this
Garrett GT3071R (water-cooled dual ball bearing)turbo, includes both the .63 and the .82 turbine housings. Turbo is only a couple of months old.
GM boost control solenoid
That's most of it, there's some other parts, most of the stuff to get it installed and running. Oil feed lines, oil feed filter, oil restrictor adapter, etc.
I've got over $10K in this setup, but I'll let it go for a lot less, probably for $5750 with some ARP head studs and a Cometic HP head gasket thrown in. If nobody is interested, then I'll be putting the pieces on ebay in a few weeks.
Shipping to get it to most places in the US should be around $200 (it will have to go on a pallet on a truck).

Yeah, I put it on ebay and a couple of other boards. If you want to bid on it, feel free. Here's the link:

I'll part it out if nobody wants the whole thing, probably in a a week or two. I'll post in here when I do.

how much for the head alone? complete?
I will be willing to give you my gsr head, plus venom intake manifold plush cash, so you can still sell a complete motor, and not mess up the charge piping.
pm me asap!

Thanks for your interest. If it doesn't sell as a group, then I'll have it all parted out towards the end of next week. I'd prefer to keep this head with this engine if it sells as a group, as it was built for it and a stock head will not flow as well.

Thanks, it never did sell, and my new motor that was supposed to replace it was delayed, so I put it back in the car and made a dual-sequential charger system for it:

Some day hopefully my new motor will get done and I'll get this setup back up for sale.
