Default Turbo B16.....

I have a B16a2 , right now it is all motor but I plan on changing to a turbo setup. Is it worth it to turbo this motor?? At what point would I need to get the block sleeved? What is the largest piston I can run whithout having it sleeved, and what is the max amount of boost I can run?

If I decide to go with a sleeved block, would the b16 be worth keeping or would I need to look for a b18c. Also, what is your opinion on a LS bottom end with a b16 head...all of these being turbo setups.

Thanks,
Nick

Thats a lot of questions that could easily be answered by a search. Why don't you start there then if you have more questions after that post them up.
To many variables to give you an accurate answer.

b16a2- worth turbo'ing

sleves are needed past 350ish hp range

largest piston, would be stock or .5mm larger i think. so 81.0 or 81.5 after a hone, but not 100%

you can run boost for long periods of time if the car is tuned correctly, boost levels vary on turbo and fmu

b16 is worth keeping. makes very good power when mated with correct internals, turbo and tune

LS block works well, b16 head flows better. always an option

just do a search for this stuff. i mean its not that hard to tell you what i know (or think i know) but its just nicer and easier to tell someone to search, rather than thrash them.

People have made 550 WHP on stock sleeves, I made 390+ daily on stock B16'ers so I dont see the need for sleeves at 350 WHP.
