I am looking for a new catback for my 97 hb with b18c1, I want something that is better than stock but is still kinda quiet. any ideas who makes the most performance with being to loud?

Apexi World Sport and ES Oval are among my favorites. That should get you in somewhat of a direction to narrow down your searches

The Apex'i WS is a damn nice exhaust IMO. I just wish that the can/tip were a little smaller, but it sounds nice & is not very loud.

Apex-i World Sport I have had liek 4 diffrent set ups on my civic and none of them can come even close to the way the WS sounds!!!

doesnt anyone know about rsr? the rs ex-mag is quiet during normal driving, almost stock even. but when you get on it it sounds very very nice. a friend has it on his ek, i recommend it to anyone

Apexi WS II is a bit louder than stock but not by much and fits perfect....love it....or the other exhaust is the Greddy SP2 is the same sound maybe even more quiet and also fits perfect....

Mugen TL quiet at low rpms and no droning on hwy like ricey fart cans
plus it sounds amazing in vtec!!!!!!!!!!


if $$ is an issue... Apex WS is good stuff

Yeah Apexi world sport is a really good low sounding exhaust, and tanabe hyper medallion, but i think that Mugen Twin Lube is the best... i love the sound of that exhaust. Its expensive but worth it.
