Default Greddy Full Auto TT Issue With Shutdown

One more issue

I have a Greddy Full Auto TT and I am having a problem with it. When I start the car and then turn the ignition off it will not count down, it simply lets the car turn off. However if I turn the key to the accessory position (where the radio come on fuel pump primes ect.) and then turn it off it will count down just fine then shut the power off. I have read through the instructions a few times but nothing seems to be working. Any ideas what the issue could be? Why when I start the car it won't work but when I turn the key to the position right before the start position it will count down like normal?

I have the same issue with mine, too. It seems like it works when it wants to. I double-checked all my soldered connections which turns out to be just fine and secured. Weird thing is that I installed the same turbo timer on a delSol and it works the way it should. Hmm?

when my turbo timer does that. I just hit the off button ,let it sit for a few seconds and press the on button and bingo works again. Also this is a blitz turbo timer

Sounds like it was installed incorrectly. Someone got IGN1 and IGN2 mixed up or something like that

My Greddy TT works fine sounds like you might have the Ignition and Accessory wires backwards. Try swapping the green and blue wires.

I even tried wiring it both ways (switching IGN 1~IGN 2) and same results. I'm really thinking its a product defect. Like I stated before, the same turbo timer was installed in another vehicle and it works correctly.

For the people that have installed it and it works can you please tell me what wire from the TT you connected to what wire from the ignition? I have blue to yellow, red to white and green to black yellow exatly like the pic shown below. I also double checked the wire that goes to the e-brake and that is fine as well. Anyone have this porblem and gotten it fixed somehow?

My Greddy TT went out on me within 6 month....Trash....hopefully the warranty it so I can sell that ****....

PIcked up an Apexi TT for cheap...and it works great. Better looking in my opinion... Pen style, and you hide the brain under the dash.

</TD></TR></TABLE>Yeah, mine is acting up just bout every other time I drive my car. I might just trash it because I don't want to sell it to someone and have it come back on me. Greddy TT SUCKS!!! I think I may get either a HKS or APEXi.

yup some of the greddy ones are bunk. I have an old school one with just the red display and black case. Amazingly it works fine even though its as old as I am.

My cousin has had the OLD school timer in his supra and it has been going good for almost 2 years, the first gens are good, but the new ones suck. The only bad about the old ones is that they sing to you when you start and shut down the car

even though I dont have a greddy timer, mine did the same thing with the apexi timer, you have to hook it up directly to the ignition switch for to work properly

There is someway to get the tt to switch the ignitions internally I think you have to look in the manual and I have had mine for six months no prob and it workswith the alarm.
