engine weights..

wondering how much more a b18c1 weighs then the stock d16z6 in my civic?? i founf somewhere that the b18c1 weighs approx. 518lbs i think it was.. anyone know the exact weights of both engines???

I don't know exact weights, but what I've been told is:

SOHC VTEC is about +25 pounds versus the SOHC non-vtecs
B18B is about +80 pounds (engine, tranny, axles)
DOHC VTEC is about another +25 pounds.

the b18c1 is approx 80 lbs heavier, give or take 5 lbs

i had a b18c1 shipped to me and the shop that i bought it off said it weighed about 375 . (motor, tranny, drive axels) . it seemed to be about right !
