Default Shuddering Problem?

Recently in the the past week or so, I have notice that my car shakes while letting off the gas, yet does not happen all the time. As I speed up it's fine, but when i let off, it starts to shudder and make vibrations. But if I accelerate while this happens, it will stop. Could it be the transmission? Please help! Thanks

Is your EGR clogged?

Check your plugs.

When is the last time you changed your Tranny Fluid?

yea make sure that your intake is bolted down and not just attached to your throttle body... happened to me until i bolted the sucker down...might also want to check the PCV valve (did that the same time i bolted down the intake) and voila no shake shakes

Which of these problems could cause poor gas mileage, any idea? Because lately i've been getting only 300-315 miles on a tank, and I doubt it's a coincidence... Any suggestion?
Thanks for the input so far

Does your winter gas have additives? If so, then that is part of it. Otherwise people often forget that in the winter they warm up their cars longer, and cold starts burn lots of fuel as well..

There are no additives, jus regular gas. And while it's cold outside, I always let my car warm up before driving.

The problem is getting worse, so tomorrow my dad will look at it, since i've been at school and work.
Thanks again.

Thanks superslow! It ran fine after unplugging the EGR, which was clogged. But only after we replaced the plugs, wires, distributor cap, and dist. rotor. Thanks!
