wrapped headers
i wrapped my dc 4-1 brushed stainless header this weekend with 2" x 50' DEI header wrap. it took a lot longer to do than it looks, because i didn't want to run out
and you gotta pull it mad tight around the bends so it doesn't wrinkle up.
Overall i'm satisfied with the outcome, just need to buy some hose clamps to to fasten it along all 4 runners because they're wider than the stainless wire ties. Waiting for new bolts from Honda for the install!!!

I dont know much about wrapping headers on All motor headers. I heard that when u put that on headers that the heat will crack it, like I said thats wut I heard. People said that is mostly for FI. Please Correct me if im wrong

you have to know how to wrap them w/ just the wrapping....no need for metal ties...looks good and its a + that the peice is stainless beacause the wrapping leaves burn stains on ceramic...and another thing about comments on here ^ ^ ^ never have i heard that wrapping is used for better exhaust flow on the pipes...(as if they dont get hot enough already) the purpose is to cool off ur engine bay for cooler induction and reasons like having components to close to the manifold like in race engines w/ high output....
to answer all the questions....
i put the zip ties there to hold it until i pick up some hose clamps. i bought high temp stainless zipties (if you look at the collector those are stainless), but i think
that stainless hose clamps will fasten it better because they are much wider..
The wrap isn't sticky at all. its almost like wrapping your arm with an ace bandage but its thinker and doesn't stretch. I think its coated with something because my hands and nose were full of black $hit when i was finished.
I wouldn't suggest doing it to a ceramic header because the ceramic coating is designed to dissipate the heat and wrapping it will cause it to crack. **almost like wearing 2 rubbers at once**
The DEI wrap claims that it reduces under hood temperatures by up to 50% and i've even read that you can grab the header while running when wrapped.
So do the math... Cooler under hood temperatures= cooler intake air which = free horsepower.

i bought it on ebay for $36.00 plus shipping
do a search... DEI Header Wrap
its the black wrap 2 inches by 50 feet, and i used all but about 3 feet..
How I did it..
i cut (3) 8 foot strips, and did one at a time starting from the left most one in the picture. that leaves you with 18 feet. i then wrapped the last one and overlapped all 4 where they all bend together. No metal should show. This is a B16 Header
