Default vis hood fitment = bAd

I just bought a hood off a friend, he bought a few months ago, put it on, never drove his car, sold it to me, its off a 93 ex(2 door coupe), i have 93 si (hatch), its lined up pretty good, but doesn't wanna sit all the way down, any1 else w/ this prob? i think i can cut one of the supports a lil w/ a dremel, seems to be radiator holding it up. Not sure what to do though.

Something has to be bent on the radiator support. or the hood could be warped.

it's not a VIS quality issue. You need to adjust the 2 or 4 rubber bumpstops. If it's high like you describe, rotate in. Vice versa if it's low.

Worst case, you may have to adjust your hood latch too. Did you put the rubber strip that was on your metal hood into the VIS hood?

adjust the rubber stoppers mentioned above, if it still does not fit, then it is possible that the hood is warped. Also try to mess with the latch, they can get bent.

My old one was crooked for a while because it was propped up on my hood stand for a few months straight, but later it went back to normal.

this is not a VIS quality problem though, I doubt it, they make a great product

I've got the same hood on my 93 EH3 and I had to adjust the latch before it would close. After the adjustment, the fitment was great...

after messin w/ it for a while, you can see where the radiator mount has rubbed a lil on it, have to mess w/ it some more later.

On mine, I put down a rubber stopper all the way down (left side) and the other 1/2 way up (right)
Then I used hood pins (like youre supposed to) to pull it down where I needed it.

Fitment is good, but mine has a gap between the inner part of the headlights to the edge of the hood.

mine fits awesome, but as stated before make sure the rubber bumper stops are low enough and also make sure you dont have any clearance issues with strut bars or anything

Definately play with the latch adjustment. I haven't p[ut one on yet that didn't require that to be adjusted.

I got mine and the hole where the latch is at on the hood for the clip that still holds your hood when you pop it was too small I had to cut this hole out alittle wider for the hood to shut and stay latched check that then again maybe it was just mine
