The AEM and the LM-1 as well as the Techedge all use the Bosch Sensor. The sensors are considerably cheaper than the Honda sensors that go for as much as $200 for just a sensor.
Compared to the AEM it does quite a bit more. Now I have a limited knowledge of the AEM but if we are just comparing the wideband units and not the fuel management systems then the AEM is simply a display of the Air/Fuel.
The main unit:

The LM-1 does much more: http://www.innovatemotorsports...1.php
Internal Logging of RPM vs Airfuel
New Logworks software and dashboard

Additional software available and it's features:
Key features include:
1. LogWorks- Powerful software for the display, analysis, and manipulation of LM-1 log files (realtime or stored). View on-screen gauges and create fuel maps, graphs, and histograms.
2. LM Programmer- This replaces the LM-1 Configuration Manager, and is intended solely for configuring the LM-1 and related products. It no longer contains any functionality for displaying or manipulating log data.
3. LM-1 Firmware, Version 1.4- This is the latest firmware for your LM-1, and contains a number of useful new features (see readme file). Be sure to update your LM-1 with the LM Programmer after installing LogWorks.
Hope that helps. You can do a lot with this unit it is just up to you and how much you want to do with it.

I am not using it on my personal car like I used to and I have extremely convienent access to a Dyno Dynamics Dyno which is the best optoin for partial trhottle utning my car and others over street tuning. You just can't beat a load bearing dyno if you have access to one.
