I'm currently looking for suspensions but not quite sure which one would suit me, so maybe your guys' input my be beneficial.

I'm looking for something both daily driving / track. The roads are pretty bad here (City: Edmonton -Canada) so not quite sure exactly what to get.

My best friend suggested Tein Gravels even though its for rally but he said we can adjust them etc. -remember i'm totally clueless when it comes to suspensions so bare with me.

Then i checked on jdmhonda and saw a thread: tein vs. omni -something like that and several members suggested OMNI's over Teins.

What are some of you guys' inputs or do you suggest an alternative company??

 

I running omni street full coilover set, 10kF 8kR. They are pretty stiff at first but I got used to them. People often think I have more than just a coilover set because it handles so well. I recommend them a lot.

i had a 97 accord with tein basics on them, and i loved them... not to stiff not to mushy. I would reccoment getting the tein ss or flex though. I have an account with them and they are great people, very helpful

What do you want out of the suspension? Do you need adjuastability height wise? Do you want a really stiff ride w/ minimal roll that will perform well, or do you want a good somewhat forgiving street ride?

I always choose springs instead of coilovers b/c I know how low I want my car, and I have no need to change the height, and I only intend to drive my car on the street, so a somewhat forgiving ride is a must. I like Neuspeed Race springs for street duty......

 

i have drop zone springs on mine. theyre an 2.5 drop. and suprisingly it rides exactly like stock. in my opinion, ide say go springs instead for coilovers for daily driving. but thats just my opinion. good luck man. ohh and btw, my set up only cost 115 shipped from EBAY. lol . and dont forget to buy a camber kit all the way around.

 

If you wait until the spring you can ride in my omnipower street set-up. I got them just as the first snow came so I didn't bother installing them. Post on pe tunings sight in my sig for a review of the tein ss and someone might give you a ride in them.

FYI I am in edmonton every weekend and probably for good in the spring.

 

Yes, because your roads are so terrible up in Canada (I'm Canadian too) I would suggest you just get a set of lowering springs and keep your stock shocks.

Don't keep the stockers, at least get some GR2's

KYB AGX shocks and Tein S-Tech springs. They work wonderfully for daily driving and you can use the combination to great success on your average road course.

That's a good suggestion if you need a mild drop

Smooth Ride. Adjustable and stiff enough for good traction.

 

right now i have the tokico illumina's with GC's.. very good ride quality, and it handle's very well, and not too expensive

right now I have Skunk2 w/ '00 Civic Shocks(bleh!!). The ride is ok but kinda bouncy.

I plan on getting Omnipowers full race setup 12kf and 10k rear. I don't mind such a stiff ride because I have driven track cars daily before.

for you I would get GCs w/ KYB ADJs

 

Why gravel?

 

Super tough and not weak *** like the entry level dampers (Flex and SS)

 

I am running Neuspeed Sport Springs and KYB AGX shocks. I LOVE the combo. Comfortable enough for daily driving, but the instant you hit a turn the car just grips. I love it.

 

Omni Power all the way, i love my street setup

 

I guess my question now is why should i get the gravels??

Both have 16 level adjustments like flex but sold separately thats all. Made different and springs are of course made differently as well.
