Default Turbo too big or just right for D16?

I was considering this (the first) turbo for my stock D16. Would this turbo be overkill for my setup? Initially, I am planning on running about 7.5 lbs. boost, but may up that number with some bigger injectors, pistons, and rods further down the road.
From ebay (seller:down2turbo)

This is a remanufactured T3. The compressor wheel is a 60 trim t3 and the compressor housing is a 60ar. The turbine side is a 48ar with a standard T3 flange. We do not sell kits, we only sell turbos. We use state-of-the-art balancing systems to ensure that you get a good quality turbo.

OR
I thought about running one closer to this size:

This is a remanufactured T3 . The compressor wheel is a t3 60 trim and the compressor housing is a 42ar . The turbine side is a 48ar with a standard T3 flange.

This will be my first turbo setup, so any viewpoints, comments would be apprecieated.

The first one would be better for your setup but that seller sucks, I would steer clear.

I actually heard some good things on this and another forum about down2turbo. I looked for turbos this seller had up for auction specifically. Can you share your experience with this seller?
Thanks,
brian

I'm guessing it was beerbongskickass from turbod16 or homemadeturbo.com?

He gets his turbo's from Majestic turbo, who have a horrid reputation.

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1054607

I purchased a turbo from him, thinking it was a great deal, and I recieved it only to discover it had a Ford compressor and a Volvo (I think) turbine, and god knows what kind of center section. In anticipation of getting the turbo running I ordered an exhaust flange from cheapturbo.com and it obviously didnt fit because of the different turbine. The guy at cheapturbo immediately knew what had happened, and proceeded to tell me he rebuilds those turbo's constantly.

Ok, thanks for the advice. The low price did make me wonder. I had heard about down2turbo on either one of those forums though I don't think it was from beerbong..whoever.

In either case Im sure it wasn't a good comment.

Im pretty sure Majestic makes the shitty turbo's that come with SSAutoChrome kits.

Thanks for the input.
Any more opinions?
Anyone know of any turbos for sale that might work well for my setup?

Hmm, that's funny because I bought my turbo from down2turbo and it actually came from MJM turbo, not Majestic turbo. I haven't had any problems and I know at least 3 other people off the top of my head that bought the same exact turbo and they have had no problems either.

I bought my turbo about a year ago, so it is possible down2turbo has changed distributors, but I haven't looked into it at all. I have a buddy that has dealt with MJM turbo directly and had no problems, down2turbo also has great feedback on eBay, so that is why I always recommend him.

http://www.mjmturbos.com

http://www.majesticturbo.com

Looks like 2 different company's to me. Also in that thread about majestic turbo he said there was a 6 month warranty, well down2turbo says the manufacturer has a 90 day warranty. I am guessing sombody could email down2turbo and find out where he gets the turbos from now, but back when I bought mine it said MJM turbo on the box. Somebody that has bought a turbo from him recently could maybe post up also.

Thanks for the reply. I recognize that mug from the turbod16 forum, I think.
Anyone else use down2turbo/reccomend another distributor?
Buying new is a bit too expensive for me.

I got my turbo (60 trim 60ar comp Garret T3) from down2turbo. The comp side has the 2bolt inlet flange and the exhaust side had the larger of the 5bolt exhaust flanges which was a pain in the *** to find. I had my turbo on for 3 months and it started leaking oil from the center section. I'm going to try putting a NOS jet reducer on it to reduce oil flow, and if that doesnt work im going to replace the center cartridge with one from customcoach. Also the box i got my turbo in said MJM on it..

I stand corrected. I now remember that the box my turbo came in did say MJM on it.
