uhhhhh

a picture is worth a thousand words buddy. well certainly worth a lot more than "B18C-1911149"

it's JDM...but ITR...who knows? i doubt anyone has a JDM block number database handy.

As someone else said, it's hard to tell from just the number.

"B18C" applied to several JDM engines, not all of which were ITR. The USDM made life easier and everybody here knows that "B18C5" is USDM ITR and "B18C1" is USDM GS-R, etc.

There are other ways to tell, of course. The red head valve cover could easily be exchanged, but if it's a red head that's one point in its favour.

Can you give us the P-number off the head? Can you take the heat shield off and get us a picture of the header? Can you measure the throttle body diameter?

There's lots of ways to tell, but if it's a JDM motor the "B18C" isn't the answer to your question. Sorry.

Show us a pic of the motor since as they all said, the number doesn't give much info. intake manifold can also give it away.

as far as i know all JDM GSR engines were numbered B18C 10XXXXX so it quite possible it was, but as said above get a picture of it, describe the inlet manifold, get the head stamp number from it...it should be PR3 if its a JDM GSR motor it'll be P72

Edit: I've just checked my engine number (96Spec JDM ITR) and its 1904481 so its highly probable that the motor is a JDM B18C. I think all JDM ITR motors start with 19XXXXX and all GSR motors with 10XXXXX (mine was possibly the 4481st one produced.....?

Check the head. The ITR head should read PR3-02 on the middle of the exhaust side of the head. Basically a varient of the B16A head, PR3.

I was just wondering about mine. It reads PR3-1, but the funny thing about the year of the motor is a 95'.

the PR3 deal on the head doesnt always tell the truth. you have to pretty much measure everything out if you wanna be exact.
