Default Anyone using a 4pt h-brace

I've seen these around for awhile and decided that I've got a couple buck so why not give it a shot? Got it for 39 shipped. Anyone here running one of these and if so did you notice a difference or any problems installing it or clearance issues? I just got the ebay one for 25 and 14 for shipping. I've got both front and rear strut bars and a Spoon lower rear tie bar for that bling action! lol Just gotta get around to installing my ITR 22mm rear swaybar.

I have one on my car and it certainly tightened up the front end a little. Mine also came close to the exhaust so it would chatter on take off or when idling sometimes. I added a couple washers to the back bolts between the brace and the floor to give the extra clearance between the exhaust and the brace and that stopped the chatter. There are some pretty bad roads in the area I live and It has hit the road a couple times but it was nothing serious...if anything it protected the oil pan and header etc. It never hits speed bumps or anything so overall I'm happy with it. Installation may require a little fiddling to get the bolt holes to all line up, I never used a dremmel or anything, just had to get creative with the way I installed all the bolts. After you drive with it on your car for a while you'll probably have to go back and retighten the bolts if you hear it "creeking" in the front end at all. Once you do that it won't creek anymore.

i have that on my hatch and it clears my exhaust and the only thing i hit are the high center parts in the roads.. .. other than that it was a good investment.. i could feel the difference like night and day.

I would imagine your Spoon lower bar will hit before that, I actually had to remove my Spoon lower front bar due to the roads out here. I would put that 4pt h brace on and remove the Spoon lower bar, u already have the front and rear sway bars which is plenty. Please post pics when you install it.

The Spoon bar is the rear bar and I've never had any problems with it. I'll post up some pics with I get it and have it installed and give some feedback on it.

We put one on my friends car a little bit ago and didn't notice a difference at all. The only thing it added was a **** load of rattling from the downpipe hitting it. If you already have a good suspension setup, I don't believe this helps out much

My friend had one on his ITR swapped EK. It was rattling and smacking against his exhaust so he cut it off and trashed it.

That looks pretty nice. I said in the beginning that I "have" a Spoon rear lower tie bar. Nothing ever about the spoon front bar. I wouldn't of gotten this 4pt barce if I had the spoon front tie bar. Hey Slocivichmm, did you have any problems installing it or was it fairly simple and you didn't have to modify it any? I'm not worried if I do but just curious? Did you get the ebay one also?

I found that the front lower Spoon bar is actually quite useless and have since taken mine off, not a great piece IMO.

I got one, defintly noticed a difference. Front end got tighter. Also as far as clearence issues and rattleing issues, just put some spacers in or even just cut a section out. (thats what i did)

I helped put one on a friends SI. I didn't notice it doing jack ****, but I don't drive the car regularly enough to notice.

EDIT: I'm referring to the 4 point brace.

Are we talking of the brace or the Spoon bar now?

Were talking about the 4pt brace. I thought you were saying that I had a Spoon front lower tie bar. lol It's only 40 bucks so if it sucks I'll sell it on ebay and call it JDM. It'll sell for sure then!

Its really easy to put on. Just take out the bolts the attach the front LCA's to the subframe and the bolts that bolt to the underside of the chassis. Took me about 20 minutes to put back on
