91 b16a in hatch: what a/c belt?
Only search turned up an (apparently) edited reference to this, and the various parts lists and original swap inventory list does not have this belt listed.
Anyone else w/a b16 & a/c? What belt are you running? Preferably OEM. I had it converted to r134 (?? i believe that's correct? the newer style...) i don't know if that would make any difference in the belt or not, just trying to provide thorough info.
BTW, anyone know the average labor (in hours) to do a T-belt, alt belt, a/c belt, water pump, cam seals, valve adj & compression/leakdown test? I could only find these billed as individual tasks in hours and wondered if anyone could tell me about how long it would take to do it all in one shot. $275-325 too much? Strictly labor?
Dunno if i could do it myself, sounds like a PITA doing all of that simultaneously and besides, i'm a mechanical retard.
Thanx for the prompt replies, i was going to order all the parts this a.m, and realized i was coming up short

Re: 91 b16a in hatch: what a/c belt? (from_zer0)
For both the alternator and the a/c I used a NAPA 25-040300
note*
My a/c bracket is the original one from the b-16
altered to accept my stock Sanden compressor.

So you were able to use the same belt for both applications? (Alt & a/c) Just making sure i understand what you're getting at...
I've located the alt. belt, so if it is in fact the same, prob solved.
As far as the bracket/compressor, i honestly have no idea what my setup is, just that it was converted to r134, i'm not exactly sure what all that entails...
Thanx again!
Anyone else?
edit: missing word

Perfecto!
You f'in rock fat bastard! (aka 88DXCRX )
Thanx again man, i was at an impasse, but it looks very much like my compressor setup, so i'm guessing that'd work for me...i'll go look at it compared to ur pix in a bit...
Will report back with updates!

Re: 91 b16a in hatch: what a/c belt? (from_zer0)
Well, it appears upon closer inspection that my compressor setup seems a li'l different, and that the belts have about a 55mm difference, the A/C is the longer of the 2...(Alt: 4PK775, A/C: 4PK830, 4 is the # of 'ribs' and the 775/830 is the length in mm...i learned something about belt codes today )
But on the plus side i did find some belts that look like they'll fit the bill.
Thanx again for the reply & taking the time to post the pics...much appreciated 88DXCRX!

With the NAPA belts, the last number also has to do with the length..
[For example a 25-040310 is slightly longer the 25-040300]
I started out "trial fitting" with several different lengths;
but I ended up using the shortest belts possible for my application
to keep everything compact..
