Default belt squeak!

I noticed a very small squeak coming from my belts tonight. Its not horrible yet but I need some remedy advice to get it to go away before it gets worse. All my belts are fairly new, no cracks and they aren't dry. Should I replace them anyway just to play it safe? Also I've googled for it but just can't find anything on it but where can I get a timing belt cover for my b16a? I don't want a rock flying up there and screwing my engine.

Were the belts tensioned correctly when they were put on?

if the belt is new, it's either too loose, too tight or the belt isn't the issue(pulleys/tensioner)

have you determined which belt it is?

belt conditioner is a temporary fix for squeal. an older mechanic would say to use a generic bar of soap.

determine WHICH belt it is first before you go further. squeak ? i'd say your t-belt tensioner is a bit too tight when was the tensioner last replaced ?

Its been about a year since they were replaced. I did have that problem with my alternator belt pulley falling off of the engine last month but I had that tightened to spec by a Honda dealership. It sounds like it might be coming from the alternator belt though.

Well it turns out it wasn't the belt. It was actually my hood and fender touching oh so slightly causing a small squeak noise. Did a little adjusting and the sound is gone!
