Distributer, timing, firing order question
Well I had a blown head gasket in my Del Sol S and since I'm broke decided to change it myself. I've never done a repair this involved before so it was pretty new to me but I learned a bit.
The problem is that my car won't start. It will try to start...but won't. I doubt the timing belt is off because I positioned it at TDC, made marks on the belt and cam sprocket, and didn't turn anything while the belt was off, so it should be on correctly. Unfortunately I didn't think about the distributor affecting the timing, and I didn't make marks on where the distributor should be.
I figure I can just slowly turn the distributer while someone cranks it until it starts...but I'd like something a little more accurate than this method, how can I correctly align the distributor?
Also, the wires that go to the plug on the IAC motor were pulled out, which wire should be closer to the firewall (I think yellow) and which should be closer to the intake manifold (I think green). If anyone could check this I'd appreciate it.
What is the correct firing order for the D15B7? The Haynes manual for the Civic & Del Sol 93-95 says 1-3-4-2, didn't specify what engine had that firing order, but when I looked at my friend's D16Z6 is 2-1-3-4 and the picture in the Helms manual of a D15 seemed to also have the 2-1-3-4 firing order but it's hard to tell.
What's a good way to flush the coolant system? Mine has oil and water in it, I just wanna get it cleaned out.
If anyone could help me out I'd really appreciate it.

yes the firing order is 1-4-3-2 just like the manual says. Make sure that you have the right order otherwise it will not start. My car had this problem because I was getting new wires and forgot to mark them. The manual comes in handy.
