Default HUGE F****** Problem with Idle!

i have a 1991 accord with f22a. there is something major f-ed in my throttle body. heres what happens: when i started it up today and my rpms sitting in nuetral idling were up to like 7k. then after looking around the engine compartment for a while i discovered that there was a vacuum hose going from the cruise control accuator to the throttle body that had been blown loose or whatever so i plug it back in and my idle went down to about 3500 and so i pumped the gas a few times and no my idle is between 2 and 2500... but now when i put it in gear and start to push the gas my rpms shoot up past 5k and stay high for a while then go back down. I NEED SOME HELP HERE!!!!

bumping your thread only after 46 min? gotta give people a chance to post lol

is your idle just sitting at at high rpms or is it jumping from like 1k to 5k to 1k to 5k? if it's jumping, you might have to remove the fitv and take off the one side of it and tighten the piece on the inside down.

it's #8 in this picture ...

My friend had his car idling at 2k to 3k rpms... sometimes a little higher... and the #8 on the picture as mentioned by fellow Slomies turned out to be the solution, better yet, no part had to be replaced or bought new.

no its sitting at high idle i have managed to get it to sit at about 2 to 2500 at start up but it doesnt go down to where it should after heating up. but if i try to drive the car putting it into gear and pushing gas down while clutch is in the rpms go to like 5k. and stay up then for a while then go back down some......

Check the fast idle valve, it may be sticky. You may want to open the 2 screw on-top and adjust the valve. I did that for my accord.
