the things i messed were was the battery and the spark plugs

I basically just took the battery off and put it back on
Took 2 spark plugs out and put them back in

even tried boosting it but it just keeps trying to start
maybe some snow flakes got in the spark plugs :S

and yes i have gas

Okay how do I do that?
Is there any way I can possibly screw up?
and how does this fix it so I know the theory behind it

What have you done so far?

Do you have:
Air(is the air filter dry and clean?)
Fuel(is the fuel filter clogged/fuel pump making the wir sound when the key is first turned on)
Spark(Are the spark plugs making spark when the car is turning over?)

If all these are good you should have ignition and the engine should start.
Good luck.

why wouldn't you have just disconnected the battery? i mean if you had the hood clearance to remove a spark plug, why not a battery terminal?

You may have damaged your ignition coil when you removed the spark plug wires. Also check your fuses, back up fuse, ecu fuse etc.
