Default ITR axleback ?

i see on some mufflers the length between the tip and the muffler is sometimes short and sometimes long, does that specify year or are some just like that?

picture kinda shows what i'm talkin about. why is the pipe longer? doesn't look rewelded

Are those all OEM ITR mufflers? also, maybe it's just the angle of the pic. They look the same size to me? lol.

Anywhere, where'd you find these? are they for sale? I've been lookin for a stock exhaust.

Yeah for 300+ shupping I'd rather get an RS*R Exmag.

Speaking of which, does anyone know of any websites that carry the RSR ?

There's a thread somewhere on the forum about a dude in your same shoes. Buying an ITR exhaust but found that some stuck out farther then others. I'll try to find it and post it up. I remember B2FiNiTY having alot of info on this topic.

i think i found it, i'm searching through like 5 pages of archives. but they keep arguing back and forth its a joke, if you find something different please post it, unless this exhaust is from a 4 door which sounds like it would make sense and my seller is just a dumbass

its 4dr for sure.. what makes you think its usdm? a usdm type r b pipe is not 2pc like the one pictured.. i am pretty positive the one you have pictured is just a stock 4dr jdm itr exhaust.. you can shorten the tip i guess but it seems like alot of work when you can just buy the right one.

Uhh.. that's this thread?

Also - what do you mean "will also fit a coupe" are you trying to put this exhaust on a Civic? or a 2 door integra?

Ahh.. well if I recall correctly, I sold my stock exhaust to a guy with a civic coupe, he paid me $275 for B pipe and Muffler and he put it on and I think it stuck out too far and he had to modify the B pipe or something? I don't remember.. I don't know much about how it bolts up to a Civic chassis.

Well the tip isn't a big deal, any machine shop can chop that thing off there and re weld the stainless steel finished tip on for super cheap. I'd be more concerned about the B Pipe dude.

well apparently the guy that owned it before the seller had it installed on his 98 coupe, i'm awaiting pics of that. when i compare it side to side the b pipes looks almost identical to most civics. but maybe i'm not searching enough

Yeah, all I'm sayin is the tip is an easy fix. Make damn sure the B pipe will fit before you buy it.
