thats what im thinkin. thats a great idea, are you going to run a bolt through both halfs or is it one solid insert?
also are you running the 2 lower "torque mounts" ??

there were 6 billet inserts made. still using hasport center shaft. we are going to run a bolt through. cost 150.00 buck. every insert was a different size.

Ya, the bolt goes through both halfs and the aluminum inserts are pressed in. The 2 torque mounts on the car are being used and are already solid to.

art</TD></TR></TABLE> Yup, Hasports and I would guess about 80 or maybe alittle more A set depending how many people want them.

Every insert did not have to be a different size, they should have been all the same, unless you wanted the inserts to touch each other in the center.. ?

everyone was a different size because not one of the monuts were round. each one had to be sized then made. even the center shaft was not round. the billet inserts are the same size as the bushing. there is a little space between the two in the center. they are all pressed fitted.

They are different because the first guy we took them to didn't want to mess with it because he would of had to machine each one different to keep the same tolerances for all of them for the pressed fit.

Hey Joe, what's the possibility of Hasport offering a solid mount? The mounts now start solid before they're machined, right? Should be easy to offer?
Unfortunately, they don't all start from a solid block, which explains this problem that some have had with making solid inserts, as the holes can be slightly different when used with urethane.. The other problem is that they would have to be made for a steel pin to pressed into them, as a steel bolt would probably beat the hell out of the aluminum..
I'll look into this in more detail, but I assume only the guys with G-Force shifters would want them, as the rest could probably get away with using a REALLY hard urethane insert, correct?

Primarily the guys with the gforce shifters, and some others that think they need them. lol I know the G Force shifter sales will go up with mounts commercially available because that's the reason alot of them don't end up getting installed. Hell, make the solid mount kit and a "shifter mount kit" and you'll be good to go.

true.
For the G-force Inserts. Good Idea!
