obd II CEL no code

Default obd II CEL no code

got an 99 civic si and i keep geting a CEL that comes on about 30 second after cranked but not when key is in the on position and motor off.... is it a short? any hints as to what to check to find out? ple ase advise

that is strange. does the light go out or just stay on as long as the engine is running?

there has to be a code then....

only when the car stays on...
if i cut it off completely and then turn to on position theres no light...
i borrowed the advanced crappy parts diagnostic tool and showing NO CODES
as soon as i crank the car up CEL comes on still no codes makes absolutely no sense to me... short in a wire or an intermidiate connections problem in some wiring harness or something?
