Default weird electrical lights problems

I have a 98 lude base model the other day my guage lights went out along with my parking lights I checked the fuse under the hood and it was blown I changed it and drove about 5 minutes then they went out again couple days later my right headlight went out maybe just coincidence but I don't know what could be causing it. From looking at the wiring diagram maybe the cruise control unit? (where is it located). I am going to check for power and ground shorts on that circuit but if that checks out ok what else can it be. Has anybody else had this problem? The dealer is charging me 90 bucks just to look at it and I am tight on ends right now so any help is appreciated

I could be wrong, but having one of the high beams going out is sometimes caused by a bad DRL module. If it's the DRL, you can resolder the joints inside it rather than buying a new one. I'm not sure why it would affect your gauges though.

US versions don't come with DRLs...only canadian models do. Check your battery terminals and make sure nothing is loose. Tighten everything.

The high beams, turn signals, and brake lights all work fine just the gauges and parking lights aren't working. Hopefully it's an easy fix.

did you short something out? cuz i had the same problem a few weeks ago. when my lights that i need at night didnt work. but signal/brake and headlights worked fine. interior light didnt even dim. the problem with mine was the inside fuse box was blown. so i bought a new fuse box inside for $50 bucks at a honda junkyard and it was plug and play from them on! fixed my problem, hopefully u got the same problem since it wasnt that expensive to fix! good luck!

there is no power and ground short at the fuse block under the hood. Has anyone ever heard of one of the multiplexers going bad or shorting internally maybe thats the culprit?

which fuse box? the one under the hood? what do you mean by it's inside the fuse box? do I need to buy a new fuse box? loose wire, bad relay? where did you take it for 45 bucks the dealer is charging me 90 just to look at it. I live in so cal to so If I can't get it fixed I'll go to the same place you went and save a few bucks. Thanks

there is a inside fuse box by your foot wen you are in the driver seat. next to the hood latch. that fuse box should be blown. because mine was blown. i checked all fuses and replace my relays. nothing. im pretty sure its the inside fuse box. i took it to a shop in rosemead. its called potrero's auto electric! $45 bucks and make him guarantee you that he'll find the problem! i went there, got it checked. asked them how much would it cost to replace and put in my fuse box and they said $90 bucks to put it in + the fuse box cost. i was like uhhh ok. i went to get my at a honda junkyard and threw it on myself. all plug and play but just a bitch to get to! good luck!
