Default Electrical Problem Help!

Im having some electrical problems in my civic. When I press the brake pedal all my parking lights come on. When I let go they turn off. I put a test light to the fuse connector that controls the parking/instrument/license plate lights and only one side comes on when I turn my lights on. A friend that took a look at my car said something is backfeeding but he couldnt figure it out. Is there anything that I could check to fix this. Hope someone can help. Thanks.

A few other ppl where having the same proplem in there sols, Id search to see if they ever came up with a solution, But like i told them too its propably a short in the wireing harness somewhere, Id check it from the tail lights going towards the front of the car, When i looked at the wiring diagram i dident see anything simple that both circuits shared like a light switch or anything so, Good luck man be sure to let us know!

what should I check on the switch? I looked at the switch and all the wires are intact none are making contact with each other. Does that switch go bad?

There is no switch to check its a short in the wiring harness somewhere you have to follow that thing from the lights all the way back to the car and look for the short.
