Dimmer Switch Problem. Searched.
Ok guys, I was driving home the other day and I hit a bump, and it ripped the ground off my subs. They went out, shortly after, the head unit went out. After I re did the ground and replaced the blown fuse to the radio, my dimmer switch didn't function. No tail lights, instrument cluster lights, parking lights, or license plate lights.
I replaced it with a supposedly known working switch, and nothing. The fuse is good. What's also wierd is that my clock was dim, and shut off everytime the car turned off. Now that the dimmer doesn't work, the clock is bright, and remains on when the car is off, working like it should. The 7.5 amp in the engine bay fuse box "Back up" was also blown, but I replaced it and hasn't blown.
Just in case anyone is wondering, I have an aftermarket Sony head unit, and city lights wired in with the parking lights. Any suggestions would be great.
Edit: SRS light also came on, and stays on

Sounds like you hit one hell of a bump. Besides checking the wiring behind the radio, make sure your sub box did not smash the wiring in the back of the car, make sure your ground screw is not through the harness, etc.
Your parking light, tail light, and instrument light fuses are all good??

The car is slammed so any bump sucks basically.
I never thought to check to think the wiring in the back of the car, that's a really good idea.
And the instrument panel, climate control lights, plate lights, tail lights, and parking lights are all shared with one 10 amp fuse.....for EG's anyway. Don't know for sure about EKs or Integras

Also just hit me that I have the subs grounded to one of the the bolts that holds the tail lights assembly. That might explain everything?

Would that explain all those not working, though?

I appreciate it. I highly doubt it I broke a wire, so I'm hoping I misplaced the fuse or the combination switch is bad. Going to go check the fuse now.

All I have to say is wow.
I was so frustrated when I did it that I put the fuse in the wrong slot. It was in the one right next to it. Go figure.
Thank you for the explosions though.
