alright... i havent been on in awhile, but i really need a little help.. my setup is, 93 prelude, h22a swap, crower stage 1 cams, intake, dc header, and skunk 2 exhaust... low end power is alright, not what it used to be, but when i hit vtec, it gets really, really loud, like valve float, and has absolutly no power... i tried a valve adjustment, and it didnt help... ignition timing is fine... and i have no codes... please help...thank you

 

really just sounds like a tuning problem. my biggest issue when i put all of my bolt on mods on my car is gonna be "how it all works together"

scary thing is, im getting a lot of the same parts

im thinking its ecu problems and such

i take it the car worked fine with the old engine? yes, no?

 

o yea, but what i forgot to tell you guys was it has ran perfect for the past year... up untill recently it has been beautiful... again, thanks for the help!

did you check all your fluids and such? Is there any type of smoke coming out of the exhaust? Do a leakdown and compression check.

but, no..and for some reason now when i start it up after it has been sitting it idles at like 700-1000 and has absolutely no power, then idles at around 1900.


checked my oil last night and i'm starting to lose oil..

getting scared, its parked.

 

the oil has to be going somewhere...if you aren't leaking it out it must be burning up. In your profile it says h22/h23...does that mean you are running a h23 block and h22 head or do you just have a jdm h22a? high idle could be vacuum leak, FITV, IACV...etc lots of info if you search about high idle. As far as no power...like you throttle it and it doesn't go anywhere?

no h22a motor/h23a1 tranny. its not together yet but i have the h22a w/ h22 tranny in another lude of mine that is running. but im swapping the motor over since i blew my h23a1 and the h22a tranny is all messed up...

if i do go down the road it will bogged down and then pick up and fly down the road...its weird
