I found this burnt fuse holder on my fuel pump wiring and was certain fixing this would gain me some more fuel, but I was wrong and I’m still out of fuel sooner then I should be. Maybe I’ll replacing my 30amp fuel pump relay with a 40 or 60amp to see if that does anything. I’m getting to the point where the only thing left is the pump itself.

I made a small plate to go around my bumper exit exhaust. I don’t love the way it turned out but it’s still an improvement over what it was.

I also installed a set of megan racing traction bars. They were only $180 shipped and they are really nice quality. I didn’t some research and pulled the lower control arms forward 2 turns to give my more positive caster. This ended up moving the front tires forward about a 1/4”.

I went ahead and did a diy string alignment. After searching alignment settings of sfwd cars I went with a 1/16” toe out. Before the toe was in 1/16” and it torque steered like crazy. Now with the bars and these alignment settings it goes straight as an arrow and feels way more stable. I can also hook 17 psi in 3rd now, before I’d spin at 15 psi so it’s definitely an improvement overall.

This is a bottom view of the gate with the valve aligned with the wear mark on the valve stem. Not even close to fully open.

I’m trying to diagnose my boost creep problem. I pulled the wg and noticed the wear mark on the wg valve makes it appear that it’s not fully opening. Shouldn’t it open more then this? I can physically push it fully open with the spring in there, but it looks like it doesn’t fully open when on the car based on the wear and exhaust marks on the valve stem.

And this is just an inside view of it open to the same spot. This certainly seems like t would cause boost creep. Not sure what would cause this. Everything in the gate appears to be in good condition, no rips in the diaphram and everything seals tight. Anyone have any input on this..

With the new turbo I’m out of fuel around 19psi. I’ll pulled out my 6 micron fuel filter, it doesn’t look very dirty, but I can barely blow any air through it. I have a replacement coming, so hopefully this is the reason I’m out of fuel so soon. Anyone else have their 6 micron filter clog up after switching to E85?

Here it is all done. The smoking is 100% gone now, witch is so nice. This turbo is definitely slower to spool up lol, but that was to be expected. It makes really good power up too where I want it tho.

This turbo is about an inch shorter side to side. Witch unfortunately made it impossible to keep my backdoor intercooler setup on the hot side.

With my bumper exit exhaust it made it apparent how much my car was smoking, especially on decel. It was an unhealthy amount. I eventually narrowed it down to the turbo, the spark plugs look great. Not sure what caused this, there is essentially zero shaft play and it still makes great power and spools stupid fast. Maybe I hurt it when I blew the last engine up? idk..
