It looks like the oil flows around the bolt hole since it’s bigger than the one pictured on the bottom.

Notice there isn’t a separate path for oil to flow into. Although in the block, there is a separate path for the oil flowing upwards, it looks like the oil would hit the material and go around the bolt. But of course there is a washer on top of the bolt, so the oil must flow to the side.

Realized with the radio stuff out of the way I can adjust the heat with this lever, by hand.

Bracket that holds the heater hose has a broken stud/bolt. I’ll probably zip tie it down, then see if a machine shop can remove the broken stud/bolt once the car is driving. The heat adjustment cable still works, but it gets stuck. I’ll just try to use it twice a year, before and after the winter.

Loosened the bottom knob by hand and the adjusted the torque wrench to 20 inch pounds, then tightened the knob

On 20 inch pounds, I also tried the next setting of 35 inch pounds which is only less than 3 foot pounds.

Bolts seem more than tight enough, and there is no click from the torque wrench on 20 inch pounds or 35 inch pounds. I tried turning the torque ratchet counter clock wise and then clockwise again to see if if would click, but it didn’t. Maybe
