It was around this time my mom told me she was selling the house and i had to hurry this project up. Funds where already non existent, so real engine management would have to wait, but i hade a apexi safc that i had no luck selling. So figured i would use it just for a month to make my car mobile, winter was coming. Also my buddy from work really hooked me up with a AEM wideband gauge and sensor, in box used once for 60$!! sweeet

built the top half, and got the lower piece with flex pipe and o2 bungs for 25$

washed the bay by hand and hit it with spray paint. came out pretty good i considering how little effort it took

I didnt have a BOV flange so i made one from scratch, i dont have the tools to do this efficiently so it was a pain in the ass, but its done.

Finally fired it up and gave it a bath. Was just covered in metal shavings from cutting pipe. Also running it with no exhaust right now. My neighbors love me haha

I built this 3" exhaust, fabed it while laying on my back on a creeper under my car. Was the most frustrating part of this build so far. Buddy gave me a muffler for free so this whole exhaust was like 30$

Well its finally ready for a road test, got a mishimoto slim fan, was a tight fit. Had a issue with turbo oil feed line leaking, but fixed that. And i couldnt get my car to idle or run worth shit, scratching my head for a long time with the apexi safc. I had a check engine light for o2 heater circuit, so decided to resolve that first. Ended up my o2 was ok and circuits checked out. My ecu had failed and was the problem. Pulled the ecu from my DC 4 door daily and vehicle idles fine and runs.

So waste gate spring was good for 6psi, i played with the apexi a lot and it is half ass decent at best. On throttle at wide open it runs fine but rich, it idles ok and cruises good, but accelerating with only part throttle it doesnt like. Anyways i insured it for a month just to move it to storage. still saving for engine management. Either hondata s300 or neptune rtp... Any opinions?

So as off right now car is off the road and i am saving for engine management . Also building a oil catch can, boost controller, and vacuum manifold. I plan on boosting 12ish psi this summer and doing all tuning myself as this was the initial goal... might blow it up ... well hope i do, but at the end of summer because i drive the shit out of this car.
