Well this happened this past weekend! Took the time to just hang the motor for now just so I could get it over to kellybuilt for all the fab work. Was surprised at how well the manifold and turbo fit. Only had to cut the hood in one spot to clear the turbo. The only downfall was the wastegate sits very close to the radiator so we will see how that goes once it's all running

The intercooler is mounted and sits perfectly behind the ef8 bumper. No cutting of the bumper needed!

Sorry for the delays of posts. Just got the car back from fab and damn does it look good. Next stop was Dana aka efnstatics house to get some engine bay work done. The motor is back out. The bay is sanded and should be shot this weekend. My hopes are to have this thing running by next weekend for the NorCal Ef va Da meet 🙏🏽

a buddy of mine took some high quality pictures of the car last night. We also finally drove it around the block and damn did it feel good! Monday going to take the car to get the exhaust all welded up. Still waiting on a catch can for it, then it will be off to tune at redzone to see what she will put down!

After driving it for a while we finally find many issues to fix. Both hubs gave out so I'm waiting on those to come in from karcepts. Will be doing arp extended studs and upgrading to hawk pads and stop tech rotors in the front when I start working on that. My oil pan is leaking so I still need to address that along with my drain back from the turbo. Eventually the trans has to come back and get resealed due that having a leak also. Basically everything leaks lol but we will get there.

Finally we can put the downstar spiked lugs to use. I'll hopefully have these installed next week. Depending upon how the weather is.

Here's the bad part of it all.... noticed by the end of the track day that we were getting a lot of smoke out the catch can. Brought the car home did a compression and leak down test. Of course both were not good. Started digging into pulled the head off didn't notice much then pulled cylinder number 2 piston and bam there was the problem. Broken ring and chunks missing from the piston(where those cracks are is where it actually came off)

Back from the dead with an update. New block is dont and built by Ngoc at synergy auto works. Here we have 10.5:1 compression srp pistons on eagle rods. I had the head ported by a buddy of mine and then took it to Felix at Apm to do a valve job and throw new seals in it. Just waiting on motor mounts now and back in the car we go.

Spent the day putting this thing back together. Set up is 75.5mm vitara pistons on a set of fj rods head will go on tomorrow

The long block is back together now. I wanted to change out the cam gear so I’m waiting to get one ordered before I put it back in the car.

Throttle body and adapter came in today. Just waiting on the iacv adapter then I can move forward with installing the manifold.

Here’s my issues I’m running into. I can’t seem to get anything to fit in this area. I guess that’s why you don’t see these manifolds on a rhd chassis

Had a buddy of mine machine down the throttle body adapter to crest as much room as possible

And this is what we came up with. There is probably a couple centimeters between the coupler and the banjo bolt. We are not sure how well it will hold up but we are going to try and see
