So i decided tonight would be a good night to start pulling my wheels apart to sandblast them and refinish them. Still undecided on a color.
What they look like now. I have the correct centercaps coming soon thanks to opossum jenkins

80 nuts and bolts are no fun to take apart.

I'm going to harbor freight to get a sandblaster tommorrow to blast these

A little dirty

Tommorrow after work i'm gonna get some 80, 120, 220, 320, 600, 800 and 1000 grit sandpaper and have some fun this weekend

I sprayed them with wd40 and used a 6point 8mm socket for the bolts and a 12mm open end wrench for the nuts.

I have some Works Bolzano 3 piece wheels..... does anyone know where I could get new outter lips? I would like to make the wheels into 17x8.5 or 17x9s.
Also how hard is it to take apart and reassemble?

Thanks. I thought about the wheel but it was to late. If for whatever reason i do this again that will be done. I was thinking about trying to get the bolts polished to.
Let the paint dry on the fronts overnight and put four coats on the rears and tommorrow i will clear them. And put them back together on wed. And then my next project will be to polish the rings and repaint some centercaps for my bbs wheels that are getting done.

If you had a stripping wheel for your drill, you could get rid of those little "crumbs" near the lug holes.

. But at least my centercaps are on the way
