They should fit without rubbing, from what I remember about my friend's Konig Supermesh's. He had a slightly smaller tire on his, but had plenty of room.

Why are you putting such oversized tires on them?

For your '97-00 Civic, you'd be much better off with 205/45-16. AND they will have a much lower chance of rubbing.

i was thinking about putting those size on them but i was looking up used tires and i called up a place and he had the 205/50/16 and he said it would be fine... but i guess 205/50/16 are pretty oversized? Wheres the best place to buy new tires if i were to go with new ones. My budget is kinda low right now too.

Where can i find the offset.. sorry im new to stuff about rims... and tires.

Yes. You already stated why he said they would be fine - because he has the wrong size in stock, and wants to sell them to you.

There are mail-order places listed in the FAQ topic stickied at the top of this forum.

If you read through it, and can answer the questions it asks to help determine what kind of tires you need, we can help you find some that are not horribly expensive and will meet your needs.

so i guess im going to with either 195/45/16 or 205/45/16 which one will be easier to find a bang for your buck tire with a low budget.

You'll find more selection in 205/45-16. Besides, 195/45-16 is too small for a '97-00 Civic.

If you don't plan to use these tires in snow or bitter cold, you'll get better performance from summer tires than all-season tires, but they won't last quite as long (25-40K miles vs 35-55K miles or more). The Yokohama S.drive is an excellent summer tire, but you can trade off a little bit of performance and save a little money by getting the General Exclaim UHP or Dunlop Direzza DZ101. If you want to go the all-season route, get the Kumho Ecsta ASX. All of these are in the $78-95 range at Tire Rack.
